Nathan Welch

Principle Dentist

Originally from Cornwall, Nathan has lived and worked in Wales since 2005, Qualifying from Cardiff University in 2010. He has worked at Y Bont Faen Dental Centre for 4 years. He took over the practice with his wife Lara in March 2021. Professionally Nathan enjoys several areas of dentistry, including Oral Surgery, Endodontics and Cosmetic Dentistry. He is a certified Invisalign provider. He particularly enjoys family dental care and making sure children have positive experiences to build on at the Dentist.
Nathan also is involved in the mentoring of newly Qualified Dentists.
Outside of work Nathan can often be found out walking with his wife, son, dog and new baby daughter around the Vale and the Rhondda. He is also a proficient snowboarder and has ticked off all bar a few of the steepest slopes in the Alps.

Lara Welch

Principle Dentist

GDC number 229209

Lara Qualified from Cardiff University in 2012. She enjoys all aspects of general dentistry but is particularly interested in oral surgery and cosmetic dentistry. She has been supervising newly qualified dentists for a few years which she gets great satisfaction from, enjoying passing on her knowledge and experience.
Lara took over Y Bont Faen Dental Centre in 2021 with her husband Nathan and is appreciating having a new challenge in learning the business side to dentistry.
Outside of dentistry Lara enjoys painting and other types of crafts, cake decorating and going for nice walks with her family and her dog.
